Crisis Care Kits
Our next event is to collect completed Crisis Care Kits during the month of January. We will not have our usual fun fellowship time to put the kits together this year. Instead, the NMI Council has prepared 2-gallon zip-close bags with a list of the items needed to complete a kit (with the exception of the small stuffed toy as the food pantry has received large boxes of these). We are asking that folks complete a bag instead of buying multiples of a few items. Please return the completed kits by January 31st. The council will check the kits and prepare them for shipment to wherever they are needed. The council has budgeted Faith Promise giving to pay the $2 per kit shipping fee. Donations toward the shipping fee are welcome if you would prefer to participate in this way.
Here is the list for anyone who wants to do this but can't come to the church on Sunday morning:
All items must be in a clear zip-close 2 or 2.5-gallon plastic bag.
-1 medium-size bottle of shampoo (12-18 oz.), please tape flip-tops closed
-2 bars of soap (bath-size or larger)
-1 medium toothpaste (4.0-6.4 oz.)
-3 toothbrushes (in original packaging)
-1 box of Band-Aids (30 or more)
-1 fingernail clipper
-1 sturdy hair comb
-2 hand towels
-4 pocket-size packages of facial tissue
